First Soccer Game

Brett's first soccer game was Saturday afternoon. Brady didn't play in this league when he was 5, so it was new to us. It's 3 on 3 (no goalie), 30 minutes of practice before the game and no refs - the coaches get to go out on the field and call out of bounds calls, etc. It was fun (low key). Brett had a great time and scored the first goal (his only goal) within 10.5 seconds of the game starting. Lions win 4-1!

And after our Shamrock Shakes (previous post), he came home and slept here for like 2-3 hours!

Lucky Day

We totally slept in this morning (exhausted and windows open are a great combo) and by the time we were ready to make breakfast, it was pretty much lunch time so I made this fruit rainbow (as seen on pinterest :) for them to snack on (while I made sloppy joes.)

I think I will try "making things" out of healthy food more often. Brett loves fruit, but Brady did eat more than he normally would.

And then after Brett's soccer game, we got Shamrock Shakes from McDonald's. (Have you seen the commercial? "You smell like mint!" - so funny)

And if you think the boys need haircuts every time you see a picture of them - THEY DO. Brady has cried the last 2 times I've taken him, so I've stopped. He wants long hair . . . and now his brother does too (go figure) so we'll see how long this lasts.

Soccer - beginning and ending

Brett - "Yeah! It's spring break, so it must be spring."
So glad we gained an extra hour of daylight this weekend. We needed that!

I planted a flower basket to celebrate :)

Friday night Brett started his soccer season and seemed to enjoy himself -

Saturday evening Brady ended his first "indoor" soccer season, which he loved. He played on a team (Goal Stompers) that he will play against this spring in the outdoor season, so those games should be interesting.

Outdoor soccer and baseball practices will be in full swing starting next weekend. Brady has been practicing indoors with his baseball team for a couple months now - I think they will be excited to move outside and get on the fields. Just a couple weeks until their first tournament!
