Six Years

Brett at six years -
  • the only kid I know that doesn't like Mac & Cheese
  • LOVES fruit - if you have an entire container of strawberries/grapes/blackberries, he will probably eat them
  • can be the sweetest child or a devil child (and if he's being a devil child, he will probably call you "Maniac!")
  • looks up to his big brother a ton and surprises me every now and then with his "outgoingness" - being challenged to hit baseballs in front of Brady's entire baseball team to make them run (and loving it), 2nd day of summer camp not caring what Brady is going off to do and running right over to his red team's table
  • athletic and competitive - always shows great effort when playing sports
  • learning to read and loves practicing
  • loves asking a math question and then putting it into the calculator to find the answer - a calculator is a great toy!

Kindergarten Program

Brett's spring music program was last week - it was very cute and he knew the songs/actions well.

And Brady was happy because we pulled him out of class so he could watch :)

End of a Season

The boys both have a rainout game to make up this Saturday (at 8 a.m. of course!), but Brady's team already celebrated and gave out trophies last week and Brett's coach isn't able to make the last game, so in my mind the seasons are 99.9% over I guess.

Brett had a great time playing soccer in his first season and his team was very successful (although no score is kept).

This is Brady's 3rd year on the Strikers team and it will be interesting to see what next year brings with them.
He has made some real friends on the team.

Now its time to focus on 1 sport - baseball!

Thunderbird Soar

The Bluejacket Flint PTA organized a spring marathon/movie night fundraiser last Friday. I volunteered to stand along the path and direct cars off of the run route (to take pictures of Brady) and it was a lot of fun to see all of the runners pass by (around 100)!

Brady had already passed before I saw him so I made him come back for a picture - hello, that was why I was standing there! He was too fast for me. He thinks he came in around 11th - for the entire school, which he (we) were really proud of. It was nice to hear him say he ran the entire mile, but it was harder than he thought it would be. Way to go babe!

Finish Line!

Brett had a baseball game during the race, but he made it back for the movie - Tin Tin. They had a really fun time watching the movie with all of their friends at the school - there was popcorn EVERYWHERE. We're bad, but we were definitely glad we hadn't signed up to clean up :)

Woof Pies

We celebrated our 11th anniversary at Buca Di Beppo and got da boyz some treats from Three Dog Bakery before we headed home (Trevor hurt his leg Thursday night but is recooperating). I think they have had some crunchy treats from there before, but this time we opted for "Woof Pies" - they looked so good the boys thought they wanted to eat them!

Brady giving Trevor his - and it was quickly devoured.

Tanner was much more comical - always the slower eater, he ate his level by level and had a lot of tongue action (you can hear Brett talk about how Trevor ate his whole "off camera" in the video)
