Brady has come a LONG way in swimming this summer.

He was a little down when he started summer camp and was put in the lowest swimming level (red). Every Tuesday they were tested for swimming and could move up a level if they passed. We were really proud that he was so focused on improving and excited when he moved up to yellow. But we kind of downplayed it when he said he was going to try for green (the highest level) because we didn't want him to be too upset if he didn't pass. He passed! Which means he can swim anywhere and has started going off the diving boards.

Another change this summer has been going to the "other" pool - we used to mostly go to Splash Cove because it has a wave pool and playground (mostly shallow water). But the boys LOVE to go down the slides at the other pool (and now the diving board for Brady) and we do too!

Brett loves the slides and likes to swim on his back with his lifejacket on. He doesn't care where he's going and thinks it is funny to look up and see that he has gone in circles or across the pool. Everyone look out!

Yay Brady! Brett, a little unconventional, but if it makes people get out of your way, go for it!
