We went to the San Diego Safari Park and Zoo while we were on vacation. It was fun to meet one of my former coworkers who lives out there with his family and go through the Safari Park with their 2-year-old, Jackson.
Because we went to several "animal" parks while we were in San Diego, we almost skipped the Zoo but decided we couldn't miss it since we were so close. (It was a great zoo, but not better than Omaha's.) I won't post a ton of animal pics, but these are my favorite from the 2 parks
Baluga Whale - very cool
We were on the zoo tour bus and this huge vulture spread his wings as we drove by.
The giraffe on the left-hand side was very pregnant and they said she could have her baby any day (any minute, but no such luck while we were there :)
I love gorillas - could have watched them all day.
