Go Egg Someone

We egged someone today and it's not as bad as you think :)

The KC Parent magazine had a cute idea for Easter this month - they provided a poem and the idea is to leave a basket of plastic eggs at someone's door before knocking and running away. The poem is called "You've been egged!"

"The Easter Bunny
Was out for a hop.
He saw your house
He made a stop.
That wascally wabbit,
He had you pegged,
No bunny was home, so
YOU'VE BEEN EGGED!
(Keep one egg and egg
somebunny else!)"

The boys helped me fill the eggs with jelly beans and malted chocolate eggs (I love Easter candy!) and were excited to "egg" Jake (a kindergartner at Brady's school). Ed dropped us off by Jake's house on the way home from Brady's soccer game and the boys kept saying how nervous they were. They made me go up and knock and hid behind a big pine tree. Jake's family wasn't home - at first the boys were really disappointed, but then I told them it was perfect since the poem says "nobunny was home" and they were okay with that.

I hope Jake liked being egged :)
