But before I post pics from the lake - we owe a BIG thank-you to Grandma & Grandpa Rowley for babysitting Friday night while we attended the Corporate Challenge Awards banquet. Ed's office won their division for the 5th year in a row and Ed was nominated for an individual award for his dedication to the challenge. It was nice to get out with just the two of us - and Ed surprised me with a spa gift card for "putting up with his activities." Bonus!
Back to the lake - we headed down early Saturday morning and all got in naps that afternoon (I slept for like 3 hours and it was wonderful) After Brenda & Randy got down, we went over to Frankie & Louie's and met up with Dedra's family and Quint & Susan. It was great to watch the kids swim and play on the beach while we chatted.
The rest of the weekend consisted of fishing, paddleboating, boat rides and swimming.
Highlights included:
- Homemade banana ice-cream
- Brady & Ed going fishing before dinner. . . . me deciding we couldn't wait any longer for them so I swam with a noodle (around the bend past many houses - it was fun) to where they were and hitched a ride back. They had a great time fishing on the paddleboat.
- boys being "captains" with Grandpa Randy
- Brady swimming around everywhere - he loved the freedom and the "waves"
