Ed powerwashed the house and we scraped loose paint over the weekend. Last night we painted the gutters and garage door with "sticky primer" so the paint will hold and started painting the house in the back.
We were disappointed to see one coat of paint is not going to cover - especially since we bought the best paint Sherwin Williams had that contains the primer already in it. So we're trying to figure out the best method: roll the paint on quickly and come back with the brush for a second coat, put one thick coat on or buy a cheap primer and then hope one coat of paint covers. I'm shooting for the first idea, but that will take time and probably more paint.
Ed and I both felt like we were on an HGTV show where they have a weekend (in our case, 4 days) to do something (and there are ALWAYS problems).
